2019 is already packed with events. See you soon!
It’s only February and we’ve already hosted an impressive amount of events – even if we do say so ourselves.
We kicked off the year with a Meetup at Factory Berlin, where a packed room discovered how to identify their risk profile. Mind the Gap co-founder, Deutsche Bank lawyer and extreme sportswoman Ewelina Van Kol brought her insight from the worlds of ski jumping and wakeboarding to demonstrate the concepts of the topic in style.
Beyond Berlin, we’ve had events in both Munich and Warsaw. In the Bavarian capital, the multitalented Ewelina took to the stage once more, this time to draw parallels between football refereeing and developing a money mindset.
We’ve seen a particularly enthusiastic response in Warsaw; our first event there in late 2018 attracted over 100 people. In February, our Meetup on personal finance and achieving your goals drew a similarly large crowd, thanks to MtG’s Polish co-founder Agnieszka Michalska and and our amazing speakers, finance maven Marzena Malysz and Changing Room founder Aleksandra Aleksandrowicz.
Then, on the evening before Valentine’s Day, a group of curious Berliners gathered at WeWork Ku’Damm and gazed out over an incredible view of the Gedächtniskirche, while discussing a topic that rarely gets talked about: Money in relationships. Going deep and often personal, the conversation covered how to address practical issues of finance while single, dating and married.
Sounds great! So what’s next?
Good question. Details of our upcoming events can always be found on Meetup and Facebook, but here’s a taste of what March and April have in store.
In celebration of Frauentag / International Women’s Day, we’re hosting a special session on 6th March about how to channel your inner #bosslady. MtGs own Karolina Decker and Ewelina will be joined by Yemeni activist and TEDx speaker Ahlam Alaqili, International Women’s Connection cofounder Anh Tran, VeryClothe CEO Galina Charnaya, and j.jackman founder Jovan Oberleithner.
On 19th March, we’ll be demystifying real estate and learning how to buy property with expert and mortgage broker Daniela Koegel, along with MtG’s newest team member, Vitali Balajevs of blockchain-based fintech firm iFunded.
16th April sees us take a deep dive into the world of investment; resident expert Karolina will go through the options in detail and help you start making your money work for you. Finally, on 7th May we’ll take a look at alternative investments, from art and wine to carbon credits and crypto.
Stay tuned for more events in 2019, including our summer workshop series and autumn conference.
